Ed Stambollouian

Director

Ed Stambollouian is a theatre and comedy director who trained on the Directing MA at Bristol Old Vic Theatre School. In 2018 he had his West End debut, directing Harold Pinter’s Night School for the prestigious Pinter at the Pinter Season. Most recently, Ed directed Tatty Hennessy’s ambitious adaptation of Animal Farm at the Royal & Derngate for the National Youth Theatre.

In 2021, Ed created an action-packed, binaural headphones show for kids, Curse of the Crackles, alongside sound artist Ben Ringham and playwright Bea Roberts, produced by Shoreditch Town Hall

Ed also writes and directs comedy. He is a long-time collaborator with stand-up comedian Joe Lycett directing his recent UK tour (More More More: Joe Lycett) which won the Channel 4 Comedy Award for Best Stand-Up 2023. Ed also works extensively with digital talent and has directed UK and world tours with YouTubers Daniel Howell, Max Fosh and Sorted Food.
